Exam Details:
The Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences was founded in 2002 by Sri Mata Amritanandamayi Devi, Amma. As a world-renowned humanitarian and spiritual leader, Amma's life exemplifies compassion and service in every action. Amma is the Chancellor of the university and the School of Medicine draws its inspiration from her.
Admission to post graduate courses (md/ms/pg diploma) in various disciplines at Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences (AIMS) is based on a national level entrance test and subsequent counseling conducted by Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham. The entrance examination will be governed by the rules and regulations specified by the medical council of India and Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham. Eligibility Criteria:
Age Limit: MD/MS (Clinical) & MDS - Should not be more than 30 as on 31.12.2013. MD (Non Clinical) & all PG Diploma Courses - Age limit not applicable.
MD/MS, PG Diploma: MBBS degree and completion of internship by 31 March 2013. MDS - BDS degree and completion of internship by 31 March 2013
Duration of Courses
MD / MS: Three years from the date of commencement of classes.
Two years (or period as fixed by the MCI) in case of those who have recognized Post Graduate diploma in the same subject.
PG Diplomas: Two years from the date of commencement of classes.
