UPPGMEE (Uttar Pradesh Post Graduate Medical Entrance Exam)

Exam Details:

Uttar Pradesh Post Graduate Medical Entrance Exam acronym as UP PGMEE is conducted by reputed M.L.N. Medical College - Allahabad, each year for admission to (various post graduate medical courses like M.D.S. and M.D. / M.S. / PG Diploma courses in various post graduate medical colleges of Uttar Pradesh.

The candidates clearing the entrance examination are also eligible for admission to the Medical Colleges of Agra, Allahabad, Gorakhpur, Jhansi, Kanpur, Meerut and in Medical / Dental faculty of CSM Medical University, Lucknow.

There are a total of 603 seats combined in all the institutes for all the post graduate medical courses in addition to 12 seats for MDS at CSM Medical University, Lucknow.

Eligibility Criteria:

Educational Qualification

Candidate must have MBBS for admission to MD/MS/PGD courses and BDS for admission to MDS course from a recognized institute. Those who will be able to complete their internship by May End can also apply.

Candidates that have passed the MBBS/MDS Course from the Himalayan Institute of Medical Science, Dehra Dun are termed as bonafide candidate of the state and are allowed to appear for the Entrance Test. The candidates have to produce their Rotatory Internship Certificate along with the application Form.

Note : Candidates who have already taken admission on the basis of U.P.P.G.M.E.E / A.I.P.G.E.E are not allowed to appear for the entrance test unless the respective candidate completes the course.

Exam Pattern :

The examination will be conducted in English medium only.

The examination shall consist of one paper of 190 MCQ (Multiple Choice Question) as follows.

·         90 questions on pre and para-clinical subjects.

·         90 questions on clinical subjects.

·         10 questions on comprehension.

There will be three sections of multiple choice questions (MCQs) :

Section A : There will be 90 questions with 4 options or choices of which one will be best suited or best response.

Section B : There will be 90 questions with 4 options or choices of which one will be best suited or best response.

Section C : There will be two paragraphs followed by 5 questions each based on that paragraph. Each question will have 4 alternatives of which one will be best suited or best response.

Each question in Section A & B shall carry 1 mark. Each question in Section C will carry 2 marks. There will be no negative marking.

How to apply:

Candidates have to apply online only.

Online Payment: Using a credit/debit card application fee of Rs. 1800/- + transaction charges (Debit card 0.75% + Service Tax; Credit card 1.5% + Service Tax).

Cash payment of Rs. 1800/- + Rs. 50/- (Bank Charges) in the a/c no. 913020007609209 of UPPGMEE-2013 at any branch of Axis Bank. Bank will give a unique transaction ID.

Cash payment of Rs. 1800/- + Rs. 20/- bank charges in the account of UPPGMEE-2013 at any branch of Allahabad Bank. Bank will give a unique transaction ID.

Date of Entrance Examination : Sunday 31st Mar 2013

Submission of application starts from : 15th Feb 2013

Last date for Cash Payment at Axis Bank OR Allahabad Bank for Online application : 12th Mar 2013

(Credit Card Payment can be made up to Friday 15th March 2013)

Last date for receiving completed application online : 15th March 2013 up to 5:00 PM

Admit Card can be downloaded from : 21st March 2013

Expected date of declaration of merit list  : 10th April 2013

(Subject to the verdict of the Hon’ble supreme court)

Date of Medical Board for obtaining Physically handicapped certificate : 17th April 2013

Date of commencement of first Counselling : 23rd April 2013

Last Date for joining the allotted college & course from first Counselling : 29th April 2013
